We're all imperfect humans. The tendency of sin has indeed been a part of our lives since our first parents, Adam and Eve chose to disobey. God's Word tells clearly how the beginning of sin can ensnare humans. What else does the Bible verses say about human sin?

If we pay attention now, sin is increasing. Many people turn away from God and choose to go through life just to have fun. Like crime, unfair treatment, children do not obey parents, hate each other, and hold grudges and there is still a lot of it.

Nevertheless, a loving God accepts and embraces those who truly do repentance.  To find out more, let us look from the biblical point of view of human sin, covering forgiveness of sins, repentance, kinds of sins, and related matters. 10 Bible Verses About Human Sin

1. Romans 5:12

That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned.

Sin entered the world through one person, the first human being named Adam.  He chose to disobey God, so that sin produced death.  This is then felt by all descendants of Adam and Eve.  We become imperfect because we inherited sin from our ancestor, Adam.

2. James 4:17

Therefore, if someone knows how to do what is right and yet does not do it, it is a sin for him.

After a person is mature, he should have understood and known what is good and bad from what his parents teach.  But if he deliberately violates, he sins.  In terms of spirituality too, after knowing God's will for us to do and what His hate, but we don't live according to His word, we are called sinful.

3. Romans 14:12

So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God.

Every decision, action, and course of life that we take affects our future blessings.  Whatever we do if it's contrary to what the Word of God says, one day we will be accountable to God himself.  It's no longer our parents, grandparents, but our individuals.  So, it is very important to ask forgiveness for sins and try to avoid sin.

4. Hebrews 10:16,17

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says Jehovah. ‘I will put my laws in their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.’Then it says: “And I will no longer call their sins and their lawless deeds to mind.

Because God so loved His people, He wanted everyone to repent.  When someone repents earnestly, his sins will not be remembered again and the mistakes he made will be blotted out, so says, GOD.  We are certainly very grateful to have a merciful God who will forgive our sins completely.

5. Isaiah 55:7

Let the wicked man leave his way And the evil man his thoughts; Let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy on him, To our God, for he will forgive in a large way.

This verse also emphasizes that our GOD is merciful, He wants all evil people to leave his way and repent.  He was like a father who would pity his child and give abundant forgiveness.

6. Romans 3:23,24

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom paid by Christ Jesus.

Because all people sin and no longer have glory in God's eyes.  So, cause the greatest love of our creator, He gave a ransom through Christ Jesus.  So that everyone now has a hope to have a good relationship with God again.

7. Acts of Apostles 3:19

Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out, so that seasons of refreshing may come from Jehovah himself,

There is no other way to have hope in God if we do not repent.  Repentance is not just asking forgiveness, but in this case, covering all things and turning from the wrong path to the right path.  Only then will God accept our repentance and remember our sins no more.

8. Psalms 103:13,14

As a father shows mercy to his sons,Jehovah has shown mercy to those who fear him. For he well knows how we are formed,Remembering that we are dust.

As a great Creator, GOD is likened to a father who cares for His children namely His people who are faithful and fearful of Him.  GOD also does not ask what we are unable to do, because He remembers that we are only humans who come from dust.  When we think about God, we are nothing.  But he understands and cares for each of us.

9. 1 John 1:7

However, if we are walking in the light as he himself is in the light, we do have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin..

Adam has removed the perfect life that God gave him, he is like bringing darkness to his descendants.  Instead, Jesus Christ is the light, which brings people into the truth.  Through the ransom sacrifice by Christ Jesus, we can all be cleansed from sin and gain hope.  Let's appreciate the greatest gift of God's love being abundant.

10. 1 Corinthians 15:56

The sting producing death is sin, and the power for sin is the Law..

This verse tells us about the origin of death.  God himself had warned Adam while in the garden of Eden if he was disobedient, he would die.  This is the result of sin that Adam committed, namely the sting of death or die.  Sin becomes an important thing that Christians need to avoid to be able to hold fast to the holy of Christ's ransom sacrifice.

This is a collection of biblical verses about sin that cannot escape our lives.  However, through this verse of reflection, we can be sure that there is hope from God.  He will accept us if we want to try to please Him by making the best of our efforts and avoiding sin.  Of course, your efforts will be appreciated.

By reflecting on and being aware of all the mistakes we have made, you will be more appreciative of each time that He gives.  While GOD still provides an opportunity, try your best to live according to the truth in the Bible.
